Today I decided to try something new. My fridge was pretty much empty getting ready for spring break but I did have frozen chicken and frozen shrimp along with broccoli and an onion. Stir-fry it is!
- Chicken and shrimp (or beef)
- Soy Sauce
- Teriyaki Marinate
Put one cup of rice in a pan with two cups of water (and a pinch of salt). Allow the water to boil and then turn it down to a simmer (2) and cover the pan. Allow the rice to simmer for about 10-15 minutes. While the rice is cooking heat up a skillet (5) and throw on some chicken, shrimp and maybe beef with a bit of teriyaki sauce and a drop of italian dressing. Add the broccoli, onion and whatever other vegetables you desire after a few minutes. Add a few drops of soy sauce and continue to simmer. Allow the skillet to keep on cooking until the rice is finished, then put it all together and you’ve got stir-fry.
