Happy St. Patrick’s Day: Irish Soda Bread
Since tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to make the infamous Irish soda bread. This recipe makes biscuits that can be served during your St. Patrick’s Day festivities or can be eaten as a quick snack. The whole meal takes about 30 minutes but is easy to make and is delicious.
Things you need:
First, put 2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons sugar and 3/4 teaspoon each baking soda and salt in a bowl. Mix all of these ingredients together as you add 2 tablespoons of diced cold butter. Then, add 1/2 cup raisins and mix in 3/4 cup buttermilk. Pat out the dough until 1 inch thick and cut into four to six rounds to create the biscuits. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes. After the biscuits cool when they are out of the oven, they are ready to eat.
